Sucker Punch has declared that Ghost of Tsushima has hit the latest sales milestone of nearly 10 million copies since launch.
Over on Twitter, the studio touted the news to mark two years since the game’s launch. In addition, the studio unveiled a bunch of stats that players have done since the samurai adventure arrived in July 2020. That included a whopping 998.5 million standoffs and 540.8 million duels. Meanwhile, players have spent 6437.4 years on horseback while visiting 94.76 million shrines. Blimey!
We’re big fans of the game here at Videogamer too, of course. Josh scored the original release an 8 in his review which you can check out here. But of course, the game also got an expanded Director’s Cut release on the PlayStation 5 one year later. Josh made a return visit that included the new Iki Island expansion, and you can read his verdict here.
Fans of Ghost of Tsushima can look forward to a film adaptation which is currently in the works with the John Wick director attached. But can we expect a sequel? So far, Sucker Punch are keeping tight lipped. However, they did confirm they’re not working on a new Sly Cooper or Infamous any time soon, so surely with these Ghost of Tsushima sales figures a follow-up is the logical choice? Fingers crossed.
