Ever since it first released on PS4, PC gamers have been hoping that Ghost of Tsushima would eventually make it’s way to PC. Finally, that day has almost arrived but rather than being a joyous occasion with thousands of players excited to play the game, it has been met with negativity due to the recent actions and decisions of Sony.
Last week, Helldivers 2 came under fire after Sony announced that all players would need to connect a PSN account to the game or lose access. Following backlash from the community, Sony reverted this change, but now the same requirement has been added to Ghost of Tsushima, which restricts access to the game in 180 countries and regions.
Here is a full list of all of the countries and regions that will be unable to purchase or play Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC.

Prior to the restrictions, it was announced that players would only need a PSN account for the multiplayer portion of the game, which would keep the single-player story accessible to everyone. However, any player that has purchased the game via Steam in any country on the list above has had their pre-order refunded.
This comes just days after Sony came under fire for restricting access to Helldivers 2 in the same countries, which led to the game receiving an ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’ review rating on Steam, becoming the most negatively reviewed paid game in Steam history. This caused the publisher to revert it’s plans to force all players to link a PSN account. However, like with Ghost of Tsushima, the game still remains restricted in those countries.
