Of all the amazing sights of the recent GTA 6 trailer, it looks like new main character Lucia has already taken the GTA fandom by storm.

Despite the trailer being only a few days old, and the game itself still not expected to arrive until 2025, plenty of gamers in the GTA subreddits are enamoured with what they’ve seen so far of GTA’s latest protagonist, with threads like this one entitled ‘Lucia has my heart’ over on the GTA 6 subreddit including a fair few responses along the lines of “I can change her fr” from Kimchi816 – which was responded to with “No change, I accept it.” from KraventheFella and “My queen” from Demy1234.

On a more serious note though, it seems Rockstar may already be on to a winner with Lucia, with many impressed at her introduction. “The game looks too real, too good to be true,” says Cristian_9 “So dense, so many details – I wonder if they can pull it off with good optimization and no downgrade.” Meanwhile Fushigibama adds “This trailer looks so good it’s making my mind hurt.” Though some are worried the trailer looks so good, that it’s creeping into Uncanny Valley territory. “The way she turns her head in the first few seconds of the trailer creeped me out how real it looked. Just so fluid and natural,” according to Grouchy_Warthog5304.

Of course, it seems that GTA 6 will be featuring two protagonists, even though we’ve not been given a named introduction to Lucia’s partner in crime who we also saw in the trailer. The prevailing wisdom among fans is that their name is Jason, and plenty still are making their best guesses for how GTA 6’s story will play out. “I feel like we would start as Lucia in jail as the prologue like RDR 2 (Red Dead Redemption 2) with the snowy mountains. Probably do a couple of missions in jail for something like a combat tutorial and setting up context,” guesses pnuematicpaul.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see which, if any, of these guesses will come to fruition when GTA 6 finally arrives in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but between now and then Rockstar have plenty of time to tease us more on the game and reveal what plans it has in store. In the meantime, the speculated GTA 6 pre-order price is more expensive than Grand Theft Auto 5 and a former Rockstar dev has claimed GTA 6 trailer’s scenes are “all done in game”.
