A fresh leak appears to have revealed the next gaming collaboration that’ll be taking place in Fortnite, with The Elder Scrolls Online looking set to be the latest addition to the battle royale shooter’s ‘Gaming Legends’ series.
That’s according to images datamined by prolific Fortnite fan Twitter account iFireMonkey, who dropped some images of a number of TSO Fortnite cosmetics that are believed to be coming to the store in the near future. They include a character adorned in the classic Elder Scrolls Norse-inspired garb, complete with horned helmet. The images also include a weapon skin, and an axe that’s believed to be the stylings of the pickaxe. According to the account, they’re currently labelled under a ‘Folk Evening’ collection, though it’s not currently clear if there’ll be a glider or emote to go with them.
The Elder Scrolls Online would be far from the first gaming collaboration, of course, and there’s been a few Bethesda games to get the Fortnite treatment of late, particularly Doom which was welcomed into the battle royale recently with a Doom Slayer skin and cosmetics based around Doom and Doom Eternal. Other cameos from other studios over the years have included cosmetics based on Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Horizon Zero Dawn.
At the time of writing, neither Bethesda nor Epic has confirmed the collaboration, so it’s not clear yet if they will indeed be available via the store, whether they’ll be a free drop on a promotion, in-game via missions or otherwise. It’s also not clear just yet if they’ll be a platform exclusive given Bethesda are owned by Xbox, although The Elder Scrolls Online itself is still a multi-platform game at the time of writing. Hopefully then, we’ll hear more soon.
Meanwhile, Fortnite has recently announced the start date for its upcoming Summer Escape event, which will take place next month. The game is also in the middle of its ongoing Wilds season, which added Transformer Optimus Prime to the battle royale shooter.
