Next Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 update
The next Fortnite update, v33.20 is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Downtime before the update typically begins at 4 AM EST / 9 AM BST, so expect that you won’t be able to play the game at this time, with matchmaking being disabled around 30 minutes before the downtime begins to prevent players from being kicked from their matches.

What is included in the next Fortnite update?
Fortnite’s v33.20 patch will be the second major update of Chapter 6 Season 1 and will bring plenty of content as Winterfest 2024 has come to an end. This patch will unlock the much-awaited Godzilla skin in the Hunters Battle Pass and will add the creature to the island as a boss with another rumored boss, Kong.
Furthermore, a new Fortnite Festival season with popular artist Hatsune Miku will arrive which will bring new Jam Tracks, Main Stage, Jam Stage, Instruments, and much more. The new content doesn’t end there. More info about OG Season 2 is rumored to be announced, alongside a new Storyline quest for Chapter 6 Season 1.
