V-Bucks are the most valuable currency in Fortnite. They are used primarily to purchase cosmetic items from the in-game shop and the Battle Pass. Additionally, players who don’t have enough time to play may also use them to progress through the seasonal pass much faster. The currency has changed several times in the past, and we have another big change coming soon.
Next month, Epic Games is changing the way players purchase V-Bucks. The game developer will keep the current bundles, but will also allow players to top-up their balance with smaller amounts. Not only will this benefit the company, but players will also be able to purchase items they would usually miss out on.
Fortnite V-Bucks are getting this amazing feature next month
At the moment, it is possible to earn some free V-Bucks in Fortnite. However, if you want to purchase skins or other expensive cosmetics, you will need to save up for months to afford only one of them. Due to this, the only way to get a lot of V-Bucks is by purchasing them for real money.
Epic currently offers V-Bucks bundles in Fortnite, starting with 1000 V-Bucks for $8.99. Bigger packages offer more V-Bucks per dollar, such as the 13500 package that costs $89.99. However, this will soon change.
Starting on October 14, players will be able to top up their V-Bucks in smaller amounts. For example, if a player has 600 V-Bucks and they want a skin that costs 1200, they won’t have to purchase the 1000 V-Bucks bundle. Instead, they will receive an offer to purchase the exact amount of V-Bucks, which is 600 in this case.
Interestingly, this upcoming Fortnite feature will not be available on PlayStation from the first day. However, Epic Games is working to make it available everywhere, so we can expect this to change soon.
