Epic Games just revealed more exciting news about Fortnite. The battle royale game is entering another season this Saturday, and before that happens, the game developer has a few more surprises. Before the new season, you can unlock free rewards and witness a once-in-a-lifetime event that will conclude the Galactic Battle.
On Wednesday, the Twitch Community Goal hit 100%, prompting Epic to drop a short teaser for the upcoming content. The preview gives us a glimpse of what’s in store this week in Fortnite, and we can’t wait to try it out.
The next Fortnite live event will be massive
Right after the community goal was reached, Epic Games revealed a teaser for the upcoming live event. As previously revealed, the Fortnite event will have players visit the Death Star and attempt to sabotage it. It will begin on Saturday at 2 PM Eastern Time, and the downtime for the next season will begin right after it concludes.
The teaser for the event showed players aboard the Death Star who are fighting against Stormtroopers. Some players can also be seen piloting TIE fighters next to the Death Star and presumably fighting off the enemies. The teaser also shows all players wearing Stormtrooper armor, confirming that all of the skins will be transformed during it.

Since this was a short teaser, we expect another one to drop on Thursday. Epic will likely keep teasing the teaser right up until its release on Saturday at 2 PM ET.
The next season will bring three seasonal passes on the same day. It will also bring map changes, new items, gameplay tweaks, and more. The season will come with improvements for map creators as well, which Epic revealed during the State of Unreal event on Tuesday.
