While Item Shop skins usually return to the game from time to time, there might be one exception.
If you own a Janky Fortnite skin, you’ll be glad to hear that it will likely become extremely rare soon. If you don’t own it, you have a few more hours to grab it before it leaves the Item Shop forever. Janky is a Fortnite skin that will leave the Item Shop forever
Janky is a relatively rare Fortnite skin. It was first released in September 2021 and has only appeared nine times since then. Epic Games brought it back on April 19, 2024, and will keep it until the next reset of the Item Shop. Once Janky leaves the in-game store, it will never come back, the team behind it claims. Even though the skin had been vaulted for more than two years, this is still quite shocking.

If this turns out to be true, Janky will become the first skin to be permanently vaulted from the Fortnite Item Shop. While some skins, like Travis Scott and Rue, haven’t returned in years, they will almost certainly come back at a certain point. Janky, however, may be available for only a few more hours. Due to this, we expect him to become one of the rarest Fortnite skins very soon.
It’s important to note that this information comes from Superplastic, the team behind Janky. Epic Games hasn’t said anything regarding the permanent vaulting of the skin, which is why there is a chance it will return at some point. Until we get an official confirmation from the Fortnite developer, the news about Janky might be just a marketing strategy.
