Sony revealed the PS5 Pro on Tuesday, showcasing its hardware and revealing the list of enhanced games. The upcoming console is powerful, there is no doubt about it. However, its price tag of $699 may be too much for many gamers. To make the situation worse, PS5 Pro will bring an enhanced version of only a handful of games, and these games do not include Fortnite.

The console itself will be amazing, but Sony will have to enhance many more games for it to be more attractive. PS5 Pro has only 14 enhanced games, but we are hoping that more of them will come in the future.

What will Fortnite look like on PS5 Pro?

PlayStation 5 is perfectly capable of running Fortnite in 60 FPS in 4K resolution. If you decide to boost the framerate to 120, the resolution will go down to 1440p, which is still great. Enabling the 120 FPS on the console also reduces graphics fidelity, such as shadows and detailed reflections, but the game still looks great.

Considering that PS5 Pro is reportedly up to 45% faster than its predecessor, we expect Fortnite to achieve 120 frames per second in 4K resolution. The upcoming console will also support 8K, but knowing how demanding the battle royale can be, this resolution likely won’t be playable in more than 60 FPS.

Unfortunately, this is all just speculation, as the PS5 Pro reveal did not include any information about Fortnite. Sony and Epic Games have collaborated many times in the past, so this might be somewhat surprising. However, we are still two months away from the console’s release date, so we may get more information over the coming weeks.

While there is no doubt that Fortnite will look and perform amazingly on the new console, we have to wonder if paying $699 for it will be worth it. This is, of course, for just a digital version of the console. If you want to use discs, you’ll have to pay an additional fee for a drive.
