Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is finally here! The long-awaited season with a Greek mythology theme was released on Friday at 3 AM Eastern Time. It has brought many new things to the game, from a new Battle Pass to gameplay changes. Furthermore, Epic Games has also released a couple of new Fortnite weapons with it.
From map changes to new items, there’s a lot to look forward to over the next two and a half months. However, if you want to get a jump start, make sure to use one of our Fortnite XP maps. They will grant you a lot of XP and help you unlock new Battle Pass rewards.
New weapons in Fortnite Season 2
The new Fortnite season will have several character-related weapons. For example, Zeus will have his Thunderbolt, while Cerberus will have a shotgun. Considering this, we expect these new weapons to stay in the game for only one season. Considering how amazing they look, the community will likely have a blast with them!
These are all the new weapons added with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2:
- Thunderbolt of Zeus – Powerful item that has three maximum charges
- Gatekeeper Shotgun – Fires three aggressive shots, reloads entire magazine
- Harbinger SMG – Close-range weapon that gets less accurate the more you fire it
- Huntress DMR – Weapon suitable for mid and long-range combat
- Warforged Assault Rifle – High damage, high rate, and powerful recoil
- Wings of Icarus – New mobility item that allows divebombing enemies
These weapons can be found in several rarities, but Mythic ones are obtained by eliminating bosses. Zeus drops both the Thunderbolt of Zeus and the Huntress DMR. You will have to defeat Cerberus to get the Gatekeeper Shotgun, Ares for the new assault rifle, while the Harbinger SMG can be obtained by eliminating Hades.
Epic Games has also brought back the following weapons from the previous season:
- Hammer Pump Shotgun
- Frenzy Auto Shotgun
- Nemesis AR
- Thunder Burst SMG
- Reaper Sniper Rifle
- Ranger Pistol
