The Fortnite new POIs have been a smash hit. Introducing four new named locations to the map is always a success, but the ones they’ve integrated into Chapter 5 Season 2 are really something. Epic Games’ latest update has been such a hit with players that many of them don’t even land at the old POIs. These new spots are the location of Mythics and medallions, but the design and more has fans wanting only to play there.

Fortnite new POIs are basically the entire map

The Fortnite new POIs are the only sector of the map that any one wants to play on. The northwest corner of the island is The Underworld, home to Hades, and Grim Gate, which is where Cerberus spawns. The southeast portion contains Brawler’s Battleground, where gamers can take on Ares, and Mount Olympus, Zeus’ home.

This post on Reddit is viral, with over five thousand upvotes at the time of writing. u/ItsThatAshGuy shared an image of the brand new map with the non-Greek POIs entirely scratched out. For many, this is what the game looks like in their heads.

u/mystireon said, “I will never stop dropping in the underworld, I want the river styx buff forever.” The River Styx, which is the water on that side of the map, gives players three Zero Point Boosts. If they touch the water, it refills to three. It’s a really good reason to consider landing there and nowhere else. Another user said the river buff is the “best thing they’ve ever done.”

u/iaiikkjdjfbdbsnssnn said that their friend sometimes wants to land at Reckless Railways in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and they can barely even remember if that’s a real Point of Interest to land at at all. u/ttvSharkieBait15 said, “I was just telling my friends there’s no point in going to lavish, glacier, snooty etc since there’s no mythic weapons or vaults anymore.”

Not everyone is completely thrilled with the map, especially the fact that there are two medallions and Mythics right within shouting distance of one another. It’s much easier to get two right away than it was beforehand, but the overall quality and creativity of the Fortnite new POIs has most players pretty happy.
