Fortnite came out in 2017 and has only gotten bigger and better every year since its release. It used to be just a battle royale, but now it’s a battle royale with LEGO, a music mode that is essentially Guitar Hero, and Rocket League racing. Epic Games is planning to add even more content to the game throughout 2024, and a leak reveals an exciting new Fortnite mode as well as an unfished map that is currently in development for the Rocket Racing portion of the game.
Epic Games’ battle royale is currently in the first season of Chapter 5. The developer has just made the biggest change to the item shop yet, and some fans want Epic to revert the locker UI back to normal. Some fans are also demanding changes to the season 5 map because of wooden fences. While all of these changes come with problems according to some of the community, Chapter 5 has arguably been the best chapter yet because of all the additions to the game.
The Chapter 5 Season 2 release date is quickly approaching, and Epic could be set to introduce a new mode to Rocket Racing.
Fortnite leak reveals new mode and unfinished map
The Egyptian Fortnite leaker has revealed that Epic Games’ Rocket Racing is getting a Death Race mode. There’s no mention of when it will arrive as the Egyptian Leaker simply says it is coming in the ‘future’. There’s also no full explanation of the mode other than it will feature ‘unique maps with many obstacles’.
In their tweet, there is embedded footage of an unfinished map currently in early development called ‘Wedge’. This shows a very early look at a map full of walls and spikes that will need to be avoided while racing against other players. Again, there’s no full explanation of how the Death Race mode will work, but it’s assumed that there will be zero checkpoints or you may have only one life.
A leak from December by BeastFNCreative said that players will be able to kick others into walls and other deadly obstacles. There’s no mention of weapons like in the Death Race movie or other video games such as Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing. There’s still no mention of when exactly it will come out, but Chapter 5 Season 2 is the obvious hope.
