With Fortnite Season 4 coming in less than 24 hours, another downtime is imminent. Servers will go down for an extended period starting at 11 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, and the game will be unavailable for a few hours. Fortunately, Epic Games revealed how long the downtime is expected to last, and here’s all you need to know about it.

How long will the Fortnite downtime tonight?

The next Fortnite downtime will start on Thursday night in the United States and on Friday in Europe, Asia, and many other regions. This is when we will get an update for the Absolute Doom season, which will bring many popular Marvel characters. On top of this, the season will bring map changes, new items, and much more other content.

On Epic’s server status page, the company revealed that the upcoming downtime is expected to last for five hours. Considering how massive the update is going to be, this isn’t too bad. According to the Fortnite developer, servers are expected to come back at 8 AM UTC, which is 4 AM Eastern Time. You can find more information on the website of Epic Games Public Status.

It’s important to note that this is simply an estimate. Epic has been wrong in the past, as some downtime periods lasted either longer or shorter than predicted. However, if everything goes according to plan, Fortnite servers shouldn’t be down for more than five or six hours. The update for the new season will come out shortly after the downtime begins.
