The next Fortnite season is around the corner. Epic Games just released the final update of Chapter 5, getting everything ready for a new era. Before the release of Chapter 6, however, the game developer will release another “OG season.” This time, players will have a unique opportunity to relieve their memories from late 2019 and early 2020.

The upcoming season will bring back Chapter 2 and is set to release in early November. Epic has already revealed one thing that will be removed from the game and announced another change that turned out to be controversial.

This upcoming Fortnite change will grant players free refunds

Back on October 17, Epic released the Caffeinated emote to Fortnite. The emote has gotten a lot of attention, but mostly for the wrong reasons. The cosmetic item had a sped-up version of Sabrina Carpenter’s song, which is not something that many players enjoyed. Due to this, the Fortnite developer decided to remove the item from the shop and change it.

We are updating the Caffeinated Emote to play the originally intended audio of Espresso in the upcoming v32.00 build. It will automatically update in everyone’s locker if purchased, and will return to the Item Shop shortly after release.

Epic Games

On top of this, Epic announced that everyone who purchased the controversial Fortnite emote will be able to get a refund for it. Naturally, this will be a free refund, so there is no need to spend a ticket for it.

Surprisingly, this announcement by Epic hasn’t been well received by the community. Many players claim that they’ve gotten used to a different version of the song and no longer want the development team to change it. It’s important to note that the original version will not be available starting with the next season, as everyone’s locker will be updated.

The next Fortnite season is scheduled to come out on November 2. It will be another shorter season, followed by the release of Chapter 6 in early December.
