The past few weeks have been very exciting for Fortnite players. Epic Games has released lots of new content, including another Battle Royale season, a new game mode, many cosmetics, and a lot more. All of this has positively contributed to the game’s health, as it still has millions of active players on a daily basis.

The newest game mode, Blitz Royale, has managed to capture the community’s attention. Unfortunately, this is just a limited-time game mode, that was initially only supposed to last until July 15. However, Epic Games listened to the community feedback and decided to extend it, giving players an opportunity to play it for much longer.

Blitz Royale has been extended by the Fortnite developer

Blitz Royale is a 32-player mode that was released on June 18, 2025. The Fortnite mode features action-packed gameplay with a small map and fast-moving circles. Thanks to this, it is possible to get a Victory Royale in under five minutes. Initially, Epic wanted to keep the game mode active for only four weeks, but that is no longer the case.

Thanks to the player feedback, Blitz Royale will stay active until August 12. In other words, the mode will be playable until the end of Chapter 6 – Season 3, as well as in the first week of Season 4. In addition to this, the game developer will add new content to it, such as Mortal Kombat and Dragon Ball items, which will rotate on a weekly basis.

Blitz Royale has been the most popular mode in Fortnite since its release. The player count hasn’t decreased, despite many players unlocking the free Blitz Knight skin. Epic even made the mode harder by reducing the number of bots in its first week, but players embraced the challenge and kept winning.
