Blitz Royale has been the most popular mode in Fortnite this week. Epic Games added it with the latest update, and it didn’t take long for it to take off. The mode had millions of players in the first 24 hours of its release, as many of them raced to get as many Victory Royales as possible. However, the latest change will make this task more difficult.

Late Friday, Epic Games made several changes to Blitz Royale. The record-breaking mode has had its XP nerfed, and players will now find it much more challenging to get a victory in it.

Blitz Royale received a couple of big changes

On Friday night, Epic lowered the amount of XP given to Blitz Royale players. In the first few days, players would receive 2,700 XP per minute, which made it extremely easy to level up the Battle Pass. The playtime XP was reduced to 850 per minute, although all the other accolades and actions have remained the same.

While changing XP is not a big deal, the Fortnite creator also made Blitz Royale more difficult. “We’ve made matchmaking adjustments to make lobbies slightly more competitive while keeping queue times the same,” the FortniteStatus account posted on X (formerly Twitter), announcing the reduction in bots.

Next time you launch the new Fortnite mode, you will likely notice an increase in its difficulty. However, it’s important to note that Epic hasn’t removed bots completely from this mode. You will still run into them, just not as frequently as before.

If you manage to place in the top 10 20 times, you will unlock the Blitz Knight skin for free. The skin can also be unlocked by just earning 15 Account Levels by July 15.
