Blitz Royale was just released with a new Fortnite update! This new fast-paced game mode offers players a Victory Royale in just five minutes. Instead of having 100-player lobbies, the mode features 32-player lobbies for action-packed gameplay. To promote the new mode, Epic Games released another skin you can get for free.
In this article, we will explain how to unlock the new Blitz skin for free in Fortnite. The process is relatively simple, and you can add the cosmetic item to your locker quickly.
How to unlock the new Fortnite Blitz skin for free
Blitz Royale brings two new cosmetic items you can unlock for free: a skin and an umbrella. To get the umbrella, you simply need to outplay the other 31 players in Blitz Royale and secure a Victory Royale. Considering that the mode is available for a limited time, you have approximately three weeks to add the new umbrella to your locker.
To unlock the free Blitz skin in Fortnite, you will need to either earn 15 Account Levels or play in the top 10 in 20 different Blitz Royale matches. If you are not a fan of the new mode, you can level up in other experiences or just use one of the XP maps in Fortnite.
It’s important to note that Blitz Royale is a limited-time game mode. It will be available in Fortnite until July 15, giving you more than enough time to unlock the new free skin. These limited-time cosmetics will likely come to the shop at a later date, but they won’t be free.
