The Barbenheimer craze has been taking the film and entertainment industry by storm over the last week and not even Fortnite is immune from its reach. Fortnite streamer, Squatingdog has revealed a brand-new Barbenheimer-inspired Gun Game-centric island to mark the occasion. The map includes elements from both movies with a split down the middle differentiating each play space.

Twitch streamer Squatingdog took to Twitter to tease the upcoming map on July 19 saying, “Barbenheimer – Gun Game | Who’s Ready?” The map takes clear inspiration from Call of Duty’s Nuketown map with the split providing two distinct aesthetics that best represent both films. The trailer even pokes fun at just how different both movies are with the opening presenting a very grimy militaristic look accompanied by military drums before shifting over to the more playful aspect of Barbie.

The Gun Game mode looks like a load of fun too and even the game’s ending nuke incorporates both films’ aesthetics. Speaking of the nuke, Squatingdog did note that in order to get the nuke to drop in-game players would have to go on a 21 killstreak. So, the island, by all means, isn’t just a fun look at a social phenomenon but also provides some challenge for those still looking for a more competitive Fortnite experience.
