If you’ve ever decided to start playing a live service game a good bit after its release you’ll likely lament the fact that you never got the chance to unlock items from previous seasons’ Battle Passes. While some games have ventured to allow players to tackle previous seasons’ Battle Passes when is most convenient to them, Fortnite players are begging Epic Games to bring back some of the old Battle Passes.

Taking to the Fortnite Reddit one player asked if others would “like the idea of Fortnite letting us finish old battle passes we didn’t get to finish.” Of course, this isn’t the first time players have discussed this idea and for the most part, everyone would love the opportunity to tackle some Battle Passes they never really got around to finishing. Other users were quick to point out that this is standard practice for games like Halo The Master Chief Collection and Halo Infinite.

In those games, players could simply purchase the Battle Pass whenever suited to them and tackle it at their own pace. The limited time in which Battle Passes are available has left some players worried they’d miss out on certain skins or cosmetics, with one player pleading for something similar to this feature being implemented in Epic’s Battle Royale saying, “FOMO is EVIL.”

Players have pointed out though that this feature is unlikely to make its way to Fortnite given the limited availability of Battle Pass items keeps players engaged throughout the entire season. One player said, “Yeah I still hate myself for not reaching Dire. But Epic wouldn’t do this because battle passes being timed exclusives is how they get you to play a lot during the season.”

Whether this idea would ever be taken on by Epic Games seems unlikely but it definitely doesn’t stop Fortnite fans asking for it. In other Fortnite news, Fortnite players are begging Epic to stop removing new features and Fortnite players call Chapter 4 Season 3 “the most lifeless season” in recent history.
