The v29.30 Fortnite update will bring a lot of new content. From the battle royale mode to LEGO Fortnite, you will be able to enjoy many new features and items. Considering that this is also one of the final updates of Chapter 5 Season 2, we expect it to add a couple of hints for the next season as well. As the update is scheduled to come out in less than 24 hours, we’ve prepared the early patch notes for you.
Our early patch notes are based on both information from Epic Games and leaks. However, before we begin, you may be interested in reading how to unlock free skins in Fortnite. Fortnite Battle Royale early patch notes
- New cosmetic items, including the May 2024 Crew pack
- New items (Tactical Assault Rifle unvaulting)
- Access to Quests Rewards page 2
- New weekly quests
- Star Wars skins, items, and event
- The event will begin on May 3, but Epic will add all the necessary data for it with the v29.30 update
- New Cerberus Snapshot quests

- Possible leaks for Season 3, including the Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration

LEGO Fortnite – upcoming changes
Epic Games confirmed a massive LEGO Fortnite update coming this week. These are the changes that will come with it:
- Farm Friends increases the Village recruitment cap to ten per Village.
- Cows, sheep, chickens, and now pigs can be recruited and are available in different colour or pattern variants.
- Chickens produce Feathers and Fertilizer over time.
- Cows produce Milk and Fertilizer over time.
- Sheep produce Wool and Fertilizer over time.
- Pigs produce Mushrooms and Fertilizer over time.
- Gain resources from feathers and milk to wool and mushrooms by caring for your animals.
- Five new Villager characters can lend a helping hand but remember to beware the bear!
- Improvements include a revamp of the Village Square UI, other bug fixes and more LEGO Styles for your favourite Outfits.
- Many new LEGO styles for skins.

Fortnite Festival Season 3
The upcoming Fortnite update will also add Festival Season 3. Epic Games has seemingly teased Billie Eilish as the next artist, although we have no confirmation of this yet. A couple of other artists have been rumored as well, including Taylor Swift.
Regardless of the artist, the next Fortnite update will bring new Jam Tracks and Instruments, as well as a new stage. Furthermore, once the update comes out, Epic Games will send another V-Bucks refund to eligible players.
Rocket Racing
Our early patch notes for the v29.30 Fortnite update don’t have any information regarding Rocket Racing additions. However, we expect Epic to release a few more cosmetic items for this game mode, as well as new race tracks.
