Square Enix has released the Forspoken In Tanta We Trust reveal trailer and it showcases Frey and Tanta Cinta using a new form of magic against waves of mythical foes. Even more noticeable than its combat and the expansion’s setting, however, is the glaring lack of dialogue that was otherwise present in the base game’s initial previews.

With the Forspoken In Tanta We Trust release date only a couple of weeks away, it seems that the developers are pivoting away from the crass language that made the fantasy entry largely infamous with the community. Instead, Square Enix is focusing on the elements that made their creation entirely unique from other RPGs such as its traversal system, unique combat mechanics, and sprawling open world.

The upcoming DLC takes place after the events of the main storyline as Frey continues to search for ways to save the land from the effects of the break. Her adventure will eventually lead her 25 years into the past where she and Tanta Cinta will ultimately discover what caused the downfall of Athia and the venerated Tantas.

Based on the Forspoken In Tanta We Trust reveal trailer, it seems as if you’ll be able to switch between using Frey and Tanta Cinta during certain combat scenarios in the expansion. The Tanta of Love also apparently has her own unique set to abilities that you’ll need to use in order to advance through the DLC, especially against some of the bosses found within.

You’ll be able to play through the continuation of Frey’s story once it releases on May 26, 2023. If you purchased the game’s Deluxe Edition, however, then you’ll be granted entry to the Early Access period on May 23 as well. While you wait for it arrive, though, we recommend reading about Forspoken’s best beginner spells and our Forspoken parkour guide so you can have an easier time battling it out and traveling through Athia.
