Footage from what appears to be an unannounced Need for Speed Mobile game has surfaced online.

As spotted by Eurogamer, the footage was posted to the Need for Speed Discord and the game’s Subreddit last night. According to the leaker, the mobile game will use assets & the map from 2019’s console outing Need for Speed Heat. They’ve also offered up a few details on the current build – although none of this has been confirmed so take it with a pinch of salt.

Allegedly, the build includes three cars – the McLaren F1, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJR and the Gallardo. The game is apparently using Unreal Engine 4, and has handling similar to free-to-play mobile MMO Need for Speed Edge. Tencent are said to be the studio on development duties, who also worked on that title.

EA hasn’t actually announced a Need for Speed Mobile yet, and at the time of writing are yet to confirm its existence. However, it has confirmed a new full-sized Need for Speed game is on the way from regular series developers Crierion. Though details on this are also hazy, rumours last week claimed it could release this November as a new-gen exclusive. Presumably then, we’ll hear more on either or both projects soon.
