FIFA 23 predicts the winner of the upcoming World Cup competition,  and fans are buzzing to see if lightning will strike again for EA.

The last three men’s World World Cup Cup winners, France(2018), Germany(2014), and Spain (2010), were correctly predicted by EA’s World Cup simulation so they may be on to something.

Who Will Win the World Cup

According to the FIFA 23 video game from EA Sports, Argentina will win Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup this winter, making the Albiceleste World Cup winners for the third time in their history, ending a 36-year wait for victory. Brazil and France come second and third respectively.

In the simulation, Argentina beat Brazil by one goal in the final game, thanks to a goal from Lionel Messi. There is no way of knowing if this is actually going to happen, but for both of these two teams to get to the final and then for Argentina to get their first World Cup since 1986, in what could be Messi’s last tournament, it would be a pretty special occasion.

Who will be the player of the tournament?

After assisting his nation in advancing to the World Cup final in Brazil in 2014, the Argentina captain took home the best player award for the first time.

EA Sports then predicts that Messi will take home the Golden Ball trophy for the second time in his career, scoring eight goals in seven games, including Argentina’s game-winning goal in the finals.

Memphis Depay of the Netherlands and Kylian Mbappe of France scored six goals to finish as the joint-second top scorers of the competition, closely behind Lionel Messi.
