Following the release of Fallout London, fans are keen to explore more of the series outside of the United States of America. While an unofficial fan project, London’s post-apocalyptic adventure has fans dreaming about new lands to explore such as a potential Fallout China.
In a Reddit thread in the Fallout London group, fans discussed which areas they’d like to explore in future mods. Out of every location on Earth, an imaginary Fallout China has the number one pick for what fans would like to see.
Fans want Fallout China
Found right at the top of the Reddit discussion, Fallout London fans believe that a new game-sized mod set in China would be the most interesting location to explore. While the mainline Fallout series only focuses on the U.S., fans believe that this leaves the wider universe open to interpretation.
Furthermore, China’s presence in the Fallout universe is wholly unique. As the nation that fired against the United States, or vice versa, it would include its own nuclear propaganda as well as an entire post-apocalyptic culture to explore.
“[I vote] China, so we can see their propaganda,” one fan replied. “The opposite side to why nukes were launched on the US. Either that or Tokyo because it would look brilliant with all the lights, sorta like a devastated cyberpunk.”
In Fallout lore, the United States devastated China with a nuclear attack. Many believe the region was bombed down to sea level, making it completely inhospitable. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see how Chinese culture evolved in the post-apocalypse.
Other countries to explore
Alongside the invention of Fallout China, fans of the London mod also proposed myriad other locations to explore. Alongside China, multiple fans expressed an interest in a Fallout Japan title that would have Samurai-esque power armour and other goodies.
Another interesting idea would be a Fallout Paris game, allowing fans to explore a post-apocalyptic France. As one of the most beautiful cities in the world, it would be amazing to explore it after nuclear weapons razed it to the ground.
