Codemasters and EA have released a new update for F1 2021 that adds the Portugal-based Portimao circuit to the game.

As announced via the game’s official website, the circuit is also known as the Algarve International Circuit debuted in Formula 1 last year. It’ll be the first of three free tracks coming over the next few months. Portimao will be followed in October with the Imola circuit and Jeddah in November.

It’s not the only addition in the update, as it also brings along the Aston Martin safety car. There’s also a bunch of performance and technical fixes in the patch. This includes various crashes in career mode, improvements to multiplayer connections and more. The update also tweaks vehicle performance to bring it more in-line with the real-life F1 season.

You can check out a full list of patch notes over on the game’s official website. Further additions are promised, including sports livery updates and the F2 2021 season over the next few months. Check out a trailer for the F1 2021 Portimao updates and beyond down below.

F1 2021 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. It also includes a ‘Braking Point’ story mode.
