Konami has announced it will delay its planned 0.9.1 patch for the troubled eFootball 2022 into early November.

The update was originally scheduled to arrive on October 28. However, an update from the game’s official Twitter account over the weekend revealed that would no longer be the case. “We would like to inform all users that we have decided to delay the release of 0.9.1 to early November. We sincerely apologise for the delay and the inconvenience caused. Our hope is that the additional time taken will allow us to ensure the experience is improved for all of our users.”

No further reason was given for the delay. It’s been a rocky road for the soccer title since it launched in a barebones state at the end of last month. Konami’s original rollout plan included Online Leagues, Team Building modes and more for late Autumn. It’s probably safe to assume these plans are postponed for the time being. But there’s been no official word from Konami on when we might expect them.

There’s no specific date for the new update in the announcement. For now, players will have to wait until “early November” for the next patch for eFootball 2022. You can read the message from Konami themselves below.
