Gameloft has released a new Disney Dreamlight Valley gameplay trailer. It showcases a number of the game’s features, including fishing and crafting.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a free-to-play Disney life sim, which sounds like a very odd proposition, indeed. But, hey, so does LocoRoco, and that’s great. Check out the new trailer for the game below:

The description reads:

“It’s up to YOU to discover the stories of Dreamlight Valley! Embark on an adventure and forge friendships with Disney and Pixar heroes and villains. Express your Disney style and make the valley your own as you explore and help restore the magic to this world.

“Disney Dreamlight Valley, a new life-sim adventure game, releases September 6, 2022, in Early Access on PC and consoles.”

As you can see, the game looks a little bit like Animal Crossing: New Horizons. And a little bit like The Sims. You will be doing a lot of fishing and cooking and such. But with a Disney twist. So, for example, the cooking will involve Remy from Ratatouille.

The fishing, I don’t know, but it would be good if you could catch Nemo, from Finding Nemo, and keep him as a kind of trophy. This game has the opportunity for things to take a dark turn, and that’s great. They probably won’t, though.
