The Diablo 4 Season 1 update hasn’t quite lived up to the community’s lofty expectations due to the bevy of unnecessary changes that were introduced as part of it. Now, however, it seems that players have found another reason to be frustrated at Blizzard’s latest ARPG installment as some are now begging the developers to introduce a “big, fat, unmissable” World Boss notification.

Since Diablo 4 World Bosses are some of the most exciting and action-packed overworld events you can join in the game, missing one can be especially disappointing since these colossal, yet sporadic fights only occur a few times each day. Of course, it also doesn’t help that the game itself doesn’t have a reliable notification system that informs users when one is set to begin, which is why a large number of disgruntled Redditors have now taken to the social media site to ask for one.

Based on a post by mrmartyd, it appears they’ve decided to beg the Diablo 4 development team for a World Boss notification because they “didn’t even know there was a World Boss” while they were busy running dungeons, and they apparently “weren’t the only one.” “I’m perpetually aware that crossplay is enabled, and that I may encounter players from other platforms, but I have no idea when what was advertised as an extinction level threat is about to rock up and smash us all into next week,” they continued.

Unsurprisingly, many of the players commenting under mrmartyd’s thread agreed with their statements as cutegachilover jokingly said: “Sure, it will be ready in time for Season 13, along [with] the rest of the important QoL features that should have been in the game on release.” Others, on the other hand, were helpful with their comments as VirtualPen204 recommended using the D4Planner website to keep track of overworld events, while foleythesniper suggested joining the Diablo 4 Discord server instead for consistent notifications.

Of course, with the Diablo 4 developers already set to introduce more necessary changes in the near future, like an additional stash tab and buffs to the Sorceress, it may not be a while until we see an in-game World Boss notification system. Nevertheless, we should still take solace in the fact that the hardworking development team is listening to each of these suggestions, meaning this feature could eventually be added in the future.
