The Diablo 4 transmog feature has players looking their best while slaying Lilith and her evil horde of demons. However, this useful mechanic wasn’t just made for players to show off their fashionable side to the citizens of Sanctuary. The unique looks that people have been able to create so far are also making the greedy in-game shop obsolete as users can fully customize the way their characters look without spending a single penny.

In order to make full use of this function, though, you will naturally need to learn how to salvage gear in Diablo 4. But once you’ve got it down, you’ll be well on your way to making your own avatar look either like a chic mercenary from the future or a hitman from hell sent by Diablo himself.

Naturally, the endless amount of outfits that can be made using the game’s transmog feature has already been put on full display by various community members. Since the beginning of the early access period, several players have already started sharing the unique outfits they’ve put together through social media sites like Reddit and Twitter.

One user named IsatiX even created a post on the Diablo subreddit showing off their terrifying, grim reaper-like Necromancer look that perfectly captures the nature of this class. They went on to note that players “don’t need the shop to get good skins,” since their creative costume was simply made using the different gear they’d already salvaged.

Those commenting under the thread were predictably impressed with the post creator’s efforts as one responder noted that this is the “necroest necro” they’d ever seen. Some, on the other hand, were simply happy to learn that the “base armor skins” are still visually appealing since the presence of a cash shop could have forced the developers to “dull down” the transmog options available.

Other players have since gone on to create their own fashionable, demon-slaying looks as evidenced by this Lilith-inspired Sorceress costume. Of course, with the game only having been fully launched recently, we will undoubtedly be seeing more stunning costume creations in the future. Just try not to wear any villain-themed outfits in the PvP area, or you might end up being everyone’s target.
