Diablo 4 is filled with a mountain of side quests that you’ll be able to undertake throughout the course of the campaign and beyond. Most of these are relatively straightforward since the NPCs that hand them out mainly just require you to eliminate a certain number of enemies or retrieve a specific amount of resources. However, one particularly frustrating mission continues to stand out amongst the sea of in-game tasks due to an annoying bug that prevents players from actually finishing it.

The notorious side mission in question is called the Fury Against Fate quest, which requires you to help the brave Crane Tribe eradicate the Cannibals that have been plaguing their community. Now, beginning this task is as easy as it can be since you’ll only need to speak to Ealda at the Crane Tribe Hutmoot to do so. Afterwards, you’ll then be asked to meet her at the Wasting Hollow Dungeon, which is when the fun part of the quest begins – or at least it should.

This is because once you talk to Ealda at the dungeon again and she’s finished her rousing speech, everything comes to a halt. The head of the crane tribe, along with the rest of her clan companions, stop moving and speaking entirely, which means the notorious Diablo 4 bug has now taken effect. You would be forgiven for thinking that you could finish the job yourself but alas, an invincible barricade – that can only be destroyed by Crane Tribe members – stands between you and the sinister cannibal clan.

Unfortunately, this specific issue, though well-documented, remains rampant to this day, which is why many within the Diablo 4 subreddit have already started creating posts in an effort to finally get rid of the bug. This ongoing problem is pushed even further into the limelight thanks to a thread from TheHeartsFilthyLesin wherein they attached a video of their character unsuccessfully attempting to breach the aforementioned barricade.

They would then go on to include a message with their post that simply said: “C’mon Blizzard…fix the Fury Against Fate quest.” A majority of the comments below the same thread predictably backed up the post creator’s request, so hopefully, it’ll only be a matter of time until the hardworking developers take notice and finally get rid of this problem once and for all.

While you wait for a fix to come in, check out our guides on the best Rogue build, the best Barbarian build, and how to beat the Butcher so you can easily clear all the content that the game offers.
