Blizzard’s recent launch has gone pretty smoothly so far, though there are a few issues that could easily be solved with fairly easy Diablo 4 addons, but are they even allowed?

Diablo 4 addons are third-party pieces of software which allow you to modify certain parts of the game. Recent pleas for a hud-slider, for example, are an instance where addons would prove to be extremely useful. We saw that Diablo 3 had no support for third-part addons, and using them would violate EULA. This made it difficult for some gamers to enjoy the game as they had no access to stat data and alike, which is really important in an MMO.

However – Diablo 4 is not its predecessor, so let’s figure out if addons are allowed in Diablo 4.

Are addons allowed in-game in Diablo 4?

Some have asked for the inclusion of addons in Diablo 4, only to met with a more calculated response from fans of the game. Realistically, there’s been enough confirmation that Diablo 4 won’t have addons:

“Our goal would be to put everything you need to play the game into the base-game,” confirms Lead Game Design Joe Shelly, suggesting that there will be no compatibility for them in-game.

What Diablo 4 ‘addons’ are there?

While there are no addons available in-game for Diablo 4, there are a few online tools that may be useful to you. For example, there’s a website called D4Builds.gg whic allows you to make and share builds that others can model their characters after.

There is also PureDiabloMap which maps out the game, making it easier to progress and remember important locations.

We’re going to be updating this page with what Diablo 4 addons are available, so make sure to check back in with us periodically. In the meantime, you might be interested in calibrating the best controller and graphics settings for the game.
