With Early Access coming to a close, the lucky few who got to try the Diablo 4 beta have been getting to grips with the latest RPG in pre-release form.

Thanks to an announcement from Blizzard themselves we now know if progress will carry over between beta phases and the full game when it arrives in June. Here’s what we know.

Will Diablo 4 Early Access Beta Carry Over To Open Beta?

Progress from Early Access will carry over to the Open Beta, so those that pre-ordered the game can enjoy it for an extended period of time.

However, should you wish to continue your journey upon release, it’s important not to get too attached to the characters you create during this testing period.

Does progress carry over from Diablo 4 beta?

Unfortunately, your progress from the Diablo 4 Open Beta will not carry over to its full launch. The characters you make during both the Early Access and Open Beta phases will be deleted once the actual game has been released.

With the pre-release phase lasting for a total of six days over two weekends, you should be able to try out all five available classes during that time. However, you won’t be able to play as the Druid and the Necromancer during the Early Access period. These two classes – along with all the others – will only be available during the Open Beta weekend, which occurs a week after.

Are there any limits to what you can do in the Diablo 4 open beta?

Yes – the Diablo 4 open beta is limited to the Prologue and Act 1, however on the original answer, this won’t be able to progress come full launch in June.
