The announcement of the open beta phase for Diablo 4 has predictably excited fans of the Blizzard franchise ahead of its launch. This will be a great chance to experience the game early and it helps drum up even more hype for the highly anticipated title.

The well-known video game company has now also given out more information on the event through an official blog post. One of the more important details that they provided were the playable classes during the pre-release period. With that said, we’ll be taking a look at the roles that were made available so you can prepare well before its release.

What classes are available during the Diablo 4 Open Beta period?

The Diablo 4 Open Beta period will have all five classes available for the entirety of the event. Those playing during the Early Access phase, on the other hand, will only have three classes available, namely the Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer.

It’s currently unclear why Blizzard decided to exclude the Druid and the Necromancer during the early access weekend. However, those that want to play as these classes will only have to wait a few days since both periods are only a week apart.

Blizzard has also stated that players will be able to create a maximum of 10 characters per Battle.net account. Unfortunately, the amount of slots won’t matter during both weekends since all characters created during this time will be deleted upon the game’s launch.

Once the game has release, however, ten character slots is seemingly enough seeing as how there are only five classes. It’s worth noting, though, that they may eventually introduce new roles in future patches so this could run out soon enough.
