While the early access players of Diablo 4 are wasting no time in showing off their best drips, there’s many who think the game is severely lacking in the hair department.

A thread on the Diablo 4 Reddit entitled simply ‘DEVS – please add customisable hair in the wardrobe” by teapottimtim alerted the community to the issue, “I just wanna change it up,” it reads. “A pony one day, a bob another.” – and they make a good point, as while there’s a number of hairstyles to pick from when creating your hero – once you’ve made your decision, they’re stuck with it.

Many players agree with the post, such as cloudsmiths who says “Hard agree. The fashion has been great, hair has gotta match” – and many, such as Eminanza, noting how it seems silly that “You can erase your tattoos everyday but you can not change your haircut.” There’s also a decent practical point, with some noting how they set their hair as one thing in the character creator, only to have to reroll as it looked worse once the character was in game.

There’s some members of the community who are taking a more cynical – but arguably justified, given that tattoos are on the store – view that perhaps Blizzard is saving additional haircuts as a paid DLC option. “$20 hair DLCs incoming.” says one response from Latensify_Wow “Sure, but it’ll cost you $4.99” adds bbqboiaf.

We’ll have to wait and see if Blizzard decide to add more hair options – either as a free or paid cosmetic – as well as if we’ll get the ability to change the haircuts of our heroes – but we have to agree that it’s an odd omission. After all, no self-respecting adventurer is going to forgo a stylish do to go with their hell slaying ensemble. But hey, maybe Inert_Oregon has a point: “You know how hard it is to find a barber in hell?”
