Death Stranding live action movie confirmed – here’s amazing films A24 have produced

Big news has come out today that a Death Stranding live-action movie is confirmed to be happening. The partnership is between Kojima Productions and A24. While the prospect of a Death Stranding live-action movie is really exciting, what makes it even more attractive is A24 as the partner. They have produced a selection of amazing films over recent years, and this should give fans hope for a good movie.

Death Stranding is one of the most divisive games to come out in recent years. While debates about its existence are nowhere near as argumentative as some other divisive games like The Last of Us Part 2, there is still division amongst gamers with many heralding it as a masterpiece while others lump it as a boring walking simulator. If you are one of its many fans, then the good news is that Death Stranding 2 is in development, meanwhile, if you don’t like it but like Kojima, then you will be happy to hear that Kojima is developing a horror game called OD.

Kojima is a very busy man, and he’s already collaborated with several Hollywood stars in the past. Metal Gear Solid 5 starred Keifer Sutherland, Death Stranding featured Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, and Guillermo Del Toro, and OD involves Jordan Peele. And now Death Stranding is getting turned into a film.

A Death Stranding live-action movie is confirmed with A24 as an official partner. People noticed A24’s logo appeared on the game’s official website, but now A24 is selling shirts for the collaboration. It’s basically the common A24 logo but with the letters oozing at the bottom like in the Death Stranding title.

The shirt from the A24films shop is $40 and it comes with the following description: ‘It’s official: we’ve partnered with Kojima Productions on the live-action feature film adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s acclaimed video game, DEATH STRANDING’.

You can buy the shirt right now, but it isn’t scheduled to ship until December 26th. As for the film, there are no other details and you probably shouldn’t expect any information for a while. The likes of Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Guillermo Del Toro, and other Hollywood stars involved in the game are safe bets to feature again, but there’s no official word other than the movie is happening.

Talk To Me is an amazing horror film that came out earlier this year, meanwhile, the Iron Claw is an epic drama based on the tragedy of wrestling legends, the Von Erichs, starring Zac Efron. The Whale was an Oscar award-winning drama starring Brendan Fraser, and Everything Everywhere All At Once was a masterpiece that won many Oscars including Best Picture.

None of this is to say Death Stranding will be an Oscar masterpiece, but it at least gives an idea of the films A24 produces and their reputation. They are more experimental than a lot of other production companies, and they seem a good fit for Kojima and Death Stranding.
