The PC Game Pass version will include some extra technical bells and whistles, including ultrawidescreen support, photo mode, higher frame rate and the crossover DLC from Cyberpunk 2077 and Half-Life 2.
There’ll also be some extra cosmetics for PC Game Pass players that’ll unlock as you play through the game. They include the following items:
- Chiral Gold/Omnireflector ‘Ludens Mask’ Sunglasses (Colour Variant)
- Gold and Silver Power Skeleton
- Gold and Silver All-Terrain Skeleton
- Gold and Silver Armor Plate
As a note, the release does appear to be the original version of Death Stranding, and not the Director’s Cut. So no racetrack or the other Director’s Cut additions, sadly.
The game puts you in the shoes of Norman Reedus’ Sam Porter Bridges. He’s trying to reconnect America by delivering post. As you’d expect from a Kojima game though, it’s not quite as clear cut as that. Check out our review of the original game here.
