In a typical Black Ops 6 multiplayer match, there are three ways of ending a match. The first is the countdown timer ticking down to zero while the second is a team or player reaching the required score limit. The third involves scoring a nuke which often requires a bit of luck and high levels of accuracy in the heat of battle.
With every seasonal update, Treyarch adds new maps to the ever-expanding collection with some containing some secret Black Ops 6 Easter eggs for players to uncover. A recently discovered secret allows players to end a match without reaching the score limit or waiting for the time to run out.
Black Ops 6 nuke Easter egg doesn’t require a huge killstreak
Instead of having to camp in a corner in a bid to score 30 consecutive kills without dying, an Easter egg allows players to call in a nuke using a much easier method. On the Warhead Face Off map is a yellow bomb stuck in the ground. If you shoot it enough times, the bomb begins to smoke before triggering a devastating explosion that ends the ongoing match instantly.
Before you load into Face Off matches and use your entire supply of ammunition in a bid to score the win, this particular Black Ops 6 Easter egg only works in private matches which may be disappointing for many looking for an easy way to earn the coveted Scorestreak in multiplayer.
In comparison to Black Ops 6 Zombies, multiplayer doesn’t contain as many secrets for players to uncover. The presence of a nuke that you can detonate is certainly interesting even though it’s not active in online matches. Perhaps Treyarch will surprise fans by secretly switching it off leaving them bemused as to why their match has come to a premature end.
More Easter eggs?
M3RKMUS1C, the founder of the Warhead nuke Easter egg reveals that there are more secrets players can discover across the standard iteration of Nuketown and the Christmas-themed Nuketown Holiday map. Hopefully, they’re as simple to find as the huge yellow bomb stuck in the sand.
Treyarch is synonymous with including all kinds of hidden secrets across its Call of Duty titles. With more maps arriving throughout the cycle, there’s every chance the developer has slipped some additional Black Ops 6 Easter eggs for fans to uncover.
