Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has so far been a hit with players since the beta began, and there are still many more days ahead to jump in and try out Treyarch’s first entry as the lead developer since Black Ops Cold War. To keep things fresh, Treyarch is set to release numerous updates to add new modes and maps over the coming days, and the first change has already arrived.

Treyarch has taken to social media to announce that Black Ops 6 is set to receive its first playlist update of the open beta, with Rewind joining Moshpit and Kill Order being added too. Check out all of the changes below,

  • Rewind joins the Moshpit map rotation
  • Kill Order playlist now available. Eliminate the enemy HVT and protect yours!
  • Kill Order has been added to the available Moshpit modes.

This now means that the Core Moshpit playlist features Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Order, and Team Deathmatch modes. Both the Core Moshpit and Kill Order playlists contain the maps Skyline, SCUD, Rewind, and Derelict.

It is expected that Treyarch will be making more updates throughout the Black Ops 6 beta, which will first run between August 30th and September 4th for players that either pre-order the game or access it through the likes of Xbox Game Pass. The beta will then open to all players between September 6th and 9th before its full release on October 25th. It will be interesting to see which maps and modes make an appearance over the next few days, could we see the return of Nuketown?

So far, players have been enjoying the Black Ops 6 beta, with some calling it “the best Call of Duty since Black Ops 3.” This comes following multiple years of criticism, especially for 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 which felt like a step backwards for many players. It seems that the four-year development cycle of Black Ops 6 has so far paid off and it will be interesting to see how the game develops once it is released and over the next year.
