Alone with the house to himself, he soon discovers two bumbling burglars attempting to break in. In the holiday spirit, young Kevin gets busy decorating the house. If bewildering booby traps could count as decorations that is.

Home Alone is a childhood favorite of mine that explored the notion of taking a seemingly terrifying real-life scenario and flipping it on its head to become a gut-busting comedy and a fantastic Christmas movie.

Written by the legendary John Hughes, and serving as the breakout role that turned Macaulay Culkin into a childhood star. This movie is a true holiday treat whether watched together or at home alone…heh.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Bored with the traditional scare-and-scream routine, Pumpkin King Jack Skellington yearns to spread Christmas joy all around after discovering Christmas Town.

But he soon finds out that his merry mission places Santa in jeopardy at the vile hands of, Oogie Boogie.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a wonderful movie from the ever-unique mind of, Tim Burton. Filled with an ensemble of nightmarishly terrific characters whom you fall in love with.

Halloween Town is a place worth visiting again and again in my eyes. And stands the test of time as one of my favorite Christmas movies to date.

The Santa Clause

On Christmas Eve, divorced dad Scott Calvin finds himself in a predicament as he inadvertently makes Santa fall off his roof.

A magically unexpected turn of events follows that finds Scott recruited to take the reins of the magical sleigh and become the new Santa Claus. With the help of his young son, he must convince a world of disbelievers, including himself.

The Santa Clause is a true feel-good family movie starring famed comedian, Tim Allen. It has a lot of heart, 90’s charm, and just pure silliness at its core to etch a place out as a phenomenal Christmas Movie.

Disney Plus watchers can enjoy this classic and its numerous sequels which will leave them feeling the holiday spirit.

Edward Scissorhands

We follow the life of an artificial man named Edward, who was incompletely constructed due to the death of his inventor, leaving him with metal shears for his hands.

Sad and alone, his life takes a positive turn upon meeting a kind lady who invites him to live with her family in the land of Suburbia.

Another brilliant classic from the unorthodox mind of, Tim Burton. The starting premise may seem far removed from the typical Christmas movie. But when has any Tim Burton film been ordinary or typical?

Early breakout performances from a young Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder set the stage for a truly amazing film. And one that I would recommend to any Disney Plus watcher to bring into their home this holiday season.
