Ubisoft has teased the contents of future updates for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, up to the launch of the Discovery Tour this Fall.

In a roadmap for the next four updates, the developer has confirmed the next two will land this week. On September 7, players can expect Title Update 1.3.1 and River Raids Map pack 2. This will be followed by Title Update 1.3.2 and the planned Discovery Tour: Viking Age in Fall 2021.

While the company is yet to detail the full contents of this week’s update, it did tweet out a few teases of what it says it “may or may not include.” These include 3 of the aforementioned River Raids maps for the post-launch game mode. In addition, players can likely expect 3 new abilities and new weapons and gear including a short sword.

Finally, the tweet also mentioned a new Nightmare combat difficulty. Presumably, this will be different from the ‘Nightmare-ish’ difficulty for Level Scaling the game added back in July. Rather, this will focus solely on the combat difficulty, giving those who’ve mastered Evior’s fighting skills an extra challenge. River Raids were first introduced back in February. It’s a game mode that allows you and your band of Vikings to go on a series of repeatable raids in new locations for loot and gear.
