Online games are better with friends, and FPS games even more so. XDefiant allows you to add and invite your friends to your party, so you can play matches together. While using Ubisoft Connect to get everyone together sometimes isn’t intuitive, we’ll explain how to invite your friends without issue.

How to add friends in XDefiant

You have to use the Ubisoft Connect app to invite and add friends to your XDefiant friend list and party. Fortunately, the game has crossplay, meaning that you can play with your friends across all supported platforms. Follow these steps to add friends to your list:

  1. Launch XDefiant.
  2. In the main menu, click on Social in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Invite to Party.
  4. Click on the search bar, enter your friend’s Ubisoft Connect username and press Enter.
  5. When you see your friend’s username on the list, click Add.

Once you’ve done this, your friend will be added to your friend list and you can freely invite them to your party. Also note that you can add your friends from the Ubisoft Connect app, without launching XDefiant. The process is the same, except that you will find your friend list options nested on the right side of the app’s interface.

How to invite friends to your party

Inviting friends to your party works similarly to adding them to your friend list. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Launch XDefiant.
  2. In the main menu, click on Social in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Invite to Party.
  4. Find your friend on the list and click the blue Invite button.
  5. Repeat the above to add more friends to your party.

The process is the same on both the PC and on consoles. Once you’ve gathered your group together, you can head over to the Play menu and select the playlist. You’ll be joined as a group and will be a part of the same team. The teams in XDefiant are limited to up to six players, so keep that in mind when inviting them and before picking your game modes.
