In anticipation of Meta’s successor to the Quest 2, fans are wondering where to watch Meta Connect 2023, where it’s expected that Meta will reveal the final details ahead of launching the Quest 3.
Up until now, we can’t be sure whether Quest 3 is worth the wait and the upgrade, especially for those who already own the Quest 2. That hasn’t stopped the Quest 3 pre orders though. All in all though, the Quest 3 is shaping up to be a promising next step in VR.
Finding out where to watch the virtual Meta Connect event that begins on September 27th will provide invaluable insight, and it’s likely Meta will have some more announcements up its sleeve as we move into the final few months of 2023. Meta has advertised its new VR headset as 40% slimmer than the Quest 2, with higher resolution, more processing power and full colour passthrough. There are final pieces of the puzzle yet to be revealed though, including an actual release date for the Quest 3. Meta is yet to confirm the Quest 3 price for the larger storage model, so there’s plenty to anticipate.
Where to watch Meta Connect 2023
The Meta Connect 2023 event will be livestreamed via Facebook on Wednesday and Thursday. If you already own a Quest headset, you can watch the event via the Meta Horizon Worlds app. You will not be able to watch the Meta Connect event on YouTube or X (formerly Twitter).
Meta Quest 3 event start time
Mark Zuckerberg will kick off Meta Connect with a keynote at 10:30pm PST on Wednesday. That’s 6:30 GMT the following day (hard core fans only). This is when the Zuck will unveil the new Meta Quest 3 and reveal Meta’s mixed reality plans.

Meta Connect 2023 – what to expect
The biggest news is the launch of the Meta Quest 3. Meta is expected to reveal the final details about the Quest 3 cost, and confirm any specs still missing following a flurry of leaks and rumours. Meta will also shift its focus to mixed reality and AR, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Meta makes some announcements on the topic of AI. Time will tell.
