- Complete the Tul Dulra stronghold on the southwestern edge of Scosglen
- Enter the dungeon and complete the objectives.
- The dungeon layout is often fairly linear with a few side spaces for bonus events.
- Unlock the Aspect of the Expectant legendary affix for crafting at the Occultist.
The Underroot dungeon is a locked-away dungeon requiring you to defeat the Tul Dulra stronghold in the far west of Scosglen. Once you’re level 15, you can take on this dungeon, and grab yourself a really good generic legendary aspect. This is solid for most seasonal builds, and useful for levelling builds too. Here’s a closer look at how to unlock the Underroot dungeon and how to complete it.
Bear in mind the reward you’re after is the aspect of the Expectant. This legendary is a strong for builds that use basic skills to generate their class resource, and then empower their core skill with enhanced damage. It works amazingly for things like Lighting Sorcerer builds, alongside combo point Rogue builds. These are just a taste of the types of builds with almost all builds getting benefits from it.
Underroot Location in Diablo 4
To get access to the Underroot dungeon location in Diablo 4, you need to complete the Tur Dulra stronghold. To enter the ancient Druid castle, and climb your way in, once inside, look for the Druid SPirits, which are located on the northern side, southwestern side and the far eastern side of the stronghold grounds.
Once you have spoken to all the Druid spirits, you can return to the Great Oak Tree in the middle of the grounds. This will spawn a boss for you to fight. Defeat the boss and you’ll clear the stronghold. Click on the banner to make it yours, and you should unlock the dungeons. To access the Underroot dungeon, you now need to jump the gap near the wayshrine, and then walk down the stairs to the cellar of the castle. It is there you will find the dungeon location.
Underroot Walkthrough
The Underroot dungeon us a few objectives the dungeon is fairly small. However, the dungeon is dense with mobs making it a decent XP per hour dungeon if you want to run it.
The objectives you are tasked to complete are as follows:
- Travel to the Chamber of Offering
- Return the Ancient Statue to the Pedestal
- Destroy the 2 egg sacs.
The objectives are fairly simple. Traveling to the chamber requires the player to walk around a square area, before finding a fairly linear pathway to walk and kill enemies in. You’ll likely find some mini-events around here.
From here, you can then find a statue part. Follow the linear path around and you’ll come across the pedestal. The map generation often makes it fairly straightforward.
Once you’re through, you now need to find two egg sacs. These egg sacs are fairly deep in the large rectangular room left to come. The enemies infest the entire area. But, rest assured that both egg sacs are typically next to each other.
Attacking the Egg sacs typically spawns some enemies, often an elite or two while fighting them, which is something to be mindful of.
Other than that there’s nothing too extreme about the dungeon. Good luck with beating and getting your aspect for your weapon to complete the damage profile of your build.
