Is Wolf Link in Tears of the Kingdom? Now that the sequel to the 2017 smash hit is out, gamers are spending hours each day exploring TOTK’s vast open world – and amassing a ton of questions along the way. One such question is around Wolf Link, and whether or not it appears in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
In Breath of the Wild, Wolf Link, which as the name suggests resembles a wolf, would enter the game via tapping the corresponding amiibo and follow Link around the world and attack enemies. The trusty companion could even be asked to ‘stay’ in-game with a tap of the A button. Wolf Link had its own health bar and was the ultimate loyal companion for Link during his many battles in BOTW. If he was defeated, Link would have to wait until the following day to summon it.
It’s no surprise, then, that Zelda fans are keen to see if Wolf Link returns in Tears of the Kingdom. Be warned, we’ll reveal the answer now, so there may be some mild spoilers.
Is Wolf Link in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
At the time of writing, it appears Wolf Link is not in Tears of the Kingdom. However, with hours and hours of gameplay required to unlock everything, we can’t be 100% certain it won’t appear some time in the future. This is a real shame, as Wolf Link was an memorable companion in the past game.
In some previous Nintendo games, such as Super Mario Maker, when a Wolf Link amiibo was added, you could tap on the character and it would it to the game – but that’s not the case here with Tears of the Kingdom. Wolf Link also appeared in Super Smash Bros. as a playable character.
We’re hoping at some point, the wolf does make a return to the world of Hyrule.
