Knowing how to get Dragon Claws in Tears of the Kingdom is something that will come in very handy in the endgame. They are classified as monster parts, so have a wide variety of uses, and are also required in a few quests.

If you’re looking for Tears of the Kingdom Dragon Claws, you’ll need to know all of the Tears of the Kingdom dragon locations to make the hunt easier. The best way to reach the dragons is using Tears of the Kingdom Skyview Towers, so make sure you’ve got all of those unlocked, too. Now that’s out of the way, let’s go through how to get Dragon Claws in Tears of the Kingdom.

How do you find Dragon Claws in Tears of the Kingdom?

Tears of the Kingdom Dragon Claws can be found by hitting the claws of any of the dragons found flying around Hyrule. The easiest way to do this is to fly near to one using a nearby Skyview Tower, or by jumping off a Sky Island. Once you’re next to it, use your paraglider to manoeuvre yourself below the dragon.

Once you’ve got a good sightline to the claws, get your bow out to enter bullet-time. From here, you’ll be able to carefully line up a shot to hit the claws. If done correctly, a small white light will shine from the claws, indicating that item has spawned. It will then fly off from the dragon for you to collect.

Don’t worry if you aren’t able to catch it mid-air. The claw will fall will a bright white trail, and will be easily visible from the air once it’s on the ground. Simply follow the trail to where the claw lands and pick it up from there.

Be aware that you can only receive one of these per dragon, per in-game day. So if you already got Naydra’s Horn or Scales, you can’t get its Claws again until tomorrow. You can still get an item from the other three dragons, though.

Once you’ve found the claw, you can take a picture to register it in the Hyrule Compendium. After doing this, you can use the Sensor+ on your Purah Pad to track the location of its respective dragon, making farming much easier.

What are Dragon Claws used for in Tears of the Kingdom?

Dragon Claws has three uses in Tears of the Kingdom. As a quest item in the Goddess Statue quest series, as a fusion material, and as an ingredient in elixirs. They don’t confer any special effects when used in elixirs, so you’re better off saving them for other uses.

As a quest item, each dragon’s claw is a requirement for a part of the Goddess Statue side quests. These quests all involve bringing the claw of a specific dragon to a spring in the Lanayru, Akkala, and West Necluda regions to restore the power of the Mother Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple.

They are all also powerful fusing materials, providing an attack boost, but also conferring the element of the dragon it came from to your weapon. This is a great way to get fire, ice, and lightning elemental weapons.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get Dragon Claws in Tears of the Kingdom.
