What are tech parts in Spider-Man 2?
Tech parts are used to upgrade various things in Spider-Man 2. There are also two different types of Tech Parts, all used for different purposes.
Normal Tech Parts are used to upgrade all of your Suit Tech. You’re going to find a lot of these throughout the game, but you’re also going to be using a lot, too. You’re also going to use these to upgrade your Gadgets, so they are a precious and valuable resource you should seek out.
Rare Tech Parts are – as the name suggests – harder to come by. Rare Tech Parts are used to upgrade your Suit Tech to the second tier of upgrades, so they’re much harder to find in-game.
How to find tech parts and rare tech parts in Spider-Man 2
Regular Tech Parts are found in a variety of places in Spider-Man 2:
- Tech Crates across the city
- Rewards for preventing crimes
- Rewards for completing EMF Experiments missions
- Rewards for completing Unidentified Targets missions
- Rewards for completing main story missions
- Rewards for completing Prowler bases
If you’re in late-game and you’ve already completed most of the missions, earning Tech Parts through missions can be a bit of a drag. Alternatively, you can upgrade your Suit Tech to get the “All Seeing” upgrade in the Traversal tree. This skill will reveal all Tech Crates on the mini-map, whether they’re regular or rare. Rare tech parts, sometimes found in abandoned Prowler bases, can be used to upgrade your suit tech.
