Does Spider-Man 2 have New Game Plus?
No, Spider-Man 2 currently does not have a New Game Plus mode. With that said, it is something Insomniac Games has planned for Spider-Man 2 in the near future. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Insomniac Games revealed that they plan on introducing the next Spider-Man 2 update in early 2024.
Though the development team has yet to confirm whether it will finally contain New Game Plus, their mention of the long-awaited mode in their announcement indicates that they may introduce it alongside a slew of new features. This includes changing the time of day, swapping tendril colors, replaying missions, and more.
When asked about adding this mode in Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games’ James Stevenson chimed in to say that it is a feature they are currently working on, but it won’t be available at launch.
Stevenson went on to say that this update has a rough release window that “should be by the end of the year.” While this doesn’t exactly narrow it down, we do know that it is in the works for Spider-Man 2, it is just a matter of waiting.

Alas, we now know that a New Game Plus mode is coming to Spider-Man 2 in early 2024, but we don’t know what will carry over. As we approach the end of the year, we’re sure to get some more information from Insomniac Games about NG+ and what we will be able to bring with us on the next playthrough.
