Figuring out how to break open the popcorn machine in the cinema to unlock the Reanimal Rock ‘n Pop was a lot more difficult than I expected. Finding the machine was easy enough; it’s on full display in the cinema lobby during The Cleaning Room chapter. But breaking it open was a whole other story.
I first tried with the bolt cutters, then later on with the crowbar, with no success. I finally figured it out, and it’s a lot simpler than it seems. I’ll walk you through how to break open the popcorn machine in Reanimal to get the Rock ‘n Pop trophy to pop.
- The popcorn machine is located in the cinema in The Cleaning Room chapter.
- Neither the bolt cutters nor the crowbar will work.
- You’ll need to grab a nearby brick to smash the glass on the machine to get the trophy.
How to break open the popcorn machine in Reanimal

If you look in the top left corner of the cinema lobby, just next to the entrance, you’ll find a large brick on the floor next to a low shelf. You’ll want to pick it up and carry it over to the popcorn machine.
From there, roughly position your character so that they’re facing the popcorn machine and then throw the brick. It will fly through the air, hitting the glass, and shattering it. The Rock ‘n Pop trophy should ping shortly thereafter.

As you can see, it’s a lot simpler than you expect and very much in line with what the game teaches you shortly beforehand when you use a mannequin head to smash a window.
