Is Togepi in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are some of the best Pokémon games out there and they are getting better thanks to the addition of the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Of course, while the number of Pokémon in the Pokedex is great, there are some that are missing.

There is a long list of starter Pokémon coming in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. There’s also special Pokémon like Hisuian Zoroark that you can get.

Togepi has always been a fan-favorite Pokémon but is Togepi in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Can you get Togepi, Togetic, and Togekiss?

Can you get Togepi in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

While the Paldea region has many Pokémon, Togepi and its evolutions are not in the original Pokedex for the game. This iconic Pokemon from Gen 2 doesn’t appear in the base game of Scarlet and Violet.

On top of this, the inclusion of the Teal Mask DLC did not add Togepi to the game. Even the Indigo Disk Pokédex does not include this beloved Pokémon, though it does include other favorites like Tyrogue, Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan.

Even more Johto and Kanto Pokémon will be coming but it looks like Togepi will be getting left behind. If you try to get Togepi, Togetic, or Togekiss through Pokémon Home, it will also tell you that they cannot be transferred as shown in the image above. A red cancel symbol will appear over Togepi and all of its evolutions, preventing you from being able to transfer any of these Pokemon over to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

When transferring Togepi through Pokemon Home, you can transfer the mon to Legends Arceus, Pokémon Sword and Shield, and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Nintendo added every starter Pokemon into the Pokemon Indigo Disk Terarium. Unfortunately, this does not include baby Pokemon such as Togepi but it does include every start Pokemon from previous generations.

This isn’t much of a surprise since there are a lot of Pokémon missing from the games. There is also a lack of a national Pokedex that past games have had.
