What to do after the story in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC – Postgame content
There’s a decent amount of content in the postgame of the Teal Mask DLC. There are side quests to complete, treasures to find, and tons of Pokémon to catch. Below, we break down the activities you should complete after the story.
Catch the Loyal Three (A.K.A. the Toxic Chain Trio)
During the storyline of the Teal Mask DLC, you will have battled the Loyal Three; Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. After you complete the story of the DLC, you can go back to where you found this legendary trio and catch them all. They can be found in the Paradise barrens, Fellhorn Gorge, and Wistful Fields. They are also all poison-types.
Obtain the Glimmering Charm
The Glimmering Charm is a difficult-to-obtain reward that you get for completing the Kitakami Region Pokédex. That means you need to catch a large number of Pokémon again – 200 to be precise. Speak to Jacq once you have completed this task to obtain the Glimmering Charm. This item increases the number of Tera Shards you get in raid battles.
Find Bloodmoon Ursaluna
This strange new version of Ursaluna can be obtained during the story but is best obtained after completing the DLC. This is because you need to capture and register 150 Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokedex.
Complete Billy and O’Nare’s side quest
Billy and O’Nare are mentioned throughout the storyline if you talk to people in Mossui Town. You can find them after completing the DLC to unlock a new side quest that gets you some extra rewards.
Get a new starter Pokémon
This is something else you can do during the story but can do after as well. If you leave Mossui Town to the east toward Kitakami Hall, you will be able to spot Professor Jacq along Reveler’s Road. When you talk to him, he will give you a Pokémon Egg. This egg has one of the three Sinnoh Starters – Piplup, Chimchar, or Turtwig.
The Pokémon in the egg is random so there is no guarantee you will get the one you want but it is nice and a great way to add another Pokémon to your Kitakami Pokédex.
Get a Shiny Munchlax
The game doesn’t tell you about this special prize. Go to Kitakami Hall and complete the Ogre Oustin’ minigame on hard mode. Doing so will get you a free Shiny Munchlax that you can add to your team. We recommend playing this minigame in multiplayer to make things a bit easier.
Challenge Kieran at the Loyal Plaza
After beating the game, you can head back to Loyal Plaza to challenge Kieran one final time. He has a decent team this time around that will give you a run for your money if you aren’t prepared.
Repair the Loyal Plaza Shrine
You can fix up the Loyalty Plaza Shrine near Oni Mountain but it will cost you a lot of money. The side quest can be initiated by talking to the Caretaker. After you donate 1,000,000 Pokédollars, the shrine will be fixed and you will get the Flashy Festival Jinbei as a reward.
Explore the map
You may not have seen the entire map so it is good to go exploring. Maybe go back to the Crystal Pool or start searching the Timeless Woods for more hidden treasure. There are also plenty of Pokémon to catch from Snorlax and Vulpix to Yanmega and Mightyena.
Now that you know everything in the post-game, you might want to know how to get festival masks in the Teal Mask DLC. You can also prepare for the next DLC by knowing how to start the Indigo Disk DLC.
